This is how science works. Supposed knowledge is constantly questioned, and if there are good arguments, they are taken into account. This is exactly why it is better to rely on scientific knowledge than on opinions, beliefs or “alternative facts”.

Certain antimalarial drugs are believed to increase the mortality of Covid-19 patients. Researchers recently tried to prove this again. But the data used appears to have been unreliable.
